My new calling

So this last sunday, I was apart to be the Relief Society secretary. I am excited to be able to get to know everyone better! I was just thinking about how I was set apart, and the different things that were said for me, but also the things that were said for the other sisters in the presidency. It reminded me how amazing the priesthood is, and the way it works. The words were so different for all of us, and really tailored to us! It reminded me Heavenly Father really knows me personally! I was waiting for my turn to be set apart, and I remember just thinking, man it would be nice to just know that everything is going to work out! I was told, if I did my best at this calling, and gave it my all, that I would be successful in every aspect of my life. That is just one more assurance that Heavenly Father knows Me!
I went over some of my duties on Monday, and ever since, I am nervous, and have thoughts of what if? Like what if I can't do everything? What if I forget something? What if I can't learn every ones names? This morning it dawned on me, that is satan! I was blessed with what I need to succeed at this calling when I was set apart, and I just need to do my best and my Heavenly Father will help! It is crazy that satan does not want you to succeed, and will do what he can, and make you feel like you can't do it. I am excited for this new calling!

Love day 2

This post is about Bruiser. Bruiser is a mama's boy, and my baby. ( Both pups are my babies) I love Bruiser! I love how he is starting to mellow out. I love how he loves to jump in bed if Landon lets him, and lay next to me and kiss my arm, like he is telling me good morning. I love how excited he gets to see me when I get home from work! Even though it is usually more of a pain then anything else I love how smart he is. I love his low mean growl and bark, I know he will protect me! I love how when they are playing outside, and I am sitting on the front porch watching them, he has to come up, put his front paws on your lap so he is up higher, and look over the fence to make sure everything is okay. I love watching him play with Bella bug, the pointer gene comes out, and they sneak to each other. I love his BIG paws. I love his mickey mouse ears! I love watching him sit, shake and lay down! I am glad that I was finally able to get a dog! I love you Bruiser boy!

Love Month... Love day 1

So I saw this on a friends blog, and I like the idea and hopefully it will get me to blog more. My goal is to blog about things I love every day this month.

So for day one, ( I bet you can't guess who I am choosing first) I am blogging about my hubby! I know it is cheesy, but I really do fall more in love with him every day! I don't know how I got so lucky! I have a wonderful husband who is a complete gentleman, and treats me like a queen! He gets me, we always finish what the other person was going to say. We are so similar, we are both the youngest of our families by quite a few years, he has 3 brothers, 2 sisters, I have 4 brothers, 1 sister, we have a lot of the same favorites, we both just got glasses for the first time, and we have almost the exact prescription, but opposite eyes, and so much more! He always knows just how to make me smile! He tells me thank you for things he appreciates! He knows when I am having a bad day, and won't stop trying to make me happy until I am. He spoils me! I am so thankful we were able to be sealed! I am so glad I can be with him forever! I love you Landon! Thanks for being my prince charming! (sorry for the picture over load)

Thoughts...

Patience is a hard thing to have. I have a hard time with it. I want something when I want it. I don't like having patience.
It's not always easy to choose the right decision. I may know something is right, and I may make the decision I know is right, but that doesn't mean it is any easier to do.
It is hard to not be able to see the bigger picture and to have to just have faith that things will work out how they are supposed to! I know heavenly father has a plan for me and my little family, but sometimes I wish I could see it too!
I am thankful however for a hubby who holds and honors his priesthood! I have such a strong testimony of the priesthood and its power, and feel like it gives me peace because I can't see the bigger picture!
I am thankful for the priesthood blessing I received, reminding me that through everything, my heavenly father does still love me! I am thankful for the peace it gives me to hear the words I know are coming from a loving heavenly father, not just a husband who thinks I might need to hear it.

How does something so Sweet....

go to this so quick! He had almost last a week with the bed... pretty sure he was upset at us going to work that day... What a naughty naughty little pup!! Pretty sure it is a good thing we love both of them so much!! He is such a stinker! I went to Petsmart the day before we went camping, and was in search for a toy that he would not shred. I was about to leave, and one of the workers asked if I needed help. He was very helpful, and showed me a couple toys that might work, and said if he did shred them, I could return them, because toys should last longer than that. Well one was a tug of war toy, and within about 4-5 times of playing tug of war with Bruiser, he had already bit through it. The second toy was an orange crater, sort of moon thing, that there is one hole to put treats in, and they have to figure out how to get the treats out. I thought he liked it at first, and than we pulled it out to do more treats, don't worry, he thought it was less work to chew a small hole in it to let the treats fall out. He is just too smart!! I can't wait until he is out of the destroying phase! Luckily, (knock on wood) we have never had any issues with any personal items, just the toys we buy, and his things.

My new addiction!

So awhile back, we were doing crafting projects in our Relief Society. Well they told us we could no longer do it, and so I asked the lady where she was getting her ideas, and she told me about the Wood Connection! Oh my goodness! I LOVE this store! It has such a variety, and it lets me decorate the way I want to!! I am having a blast letting my creativity flow. So anyway, I have done the words Summer so far, and done the flag, and am now working on the word witch... I am having such a blast with it! So here are some pics!
