Easter Egg Hunts!

So here are a couple pictures from both Easter Egg hunts! I love being able to spend time with family! Family means so much to me! I don't know where I would be without them, and I am so lucky with my in-laws! I really have the best in-laws, and am so glad I get along with all of them! At Landon's family, there were 2 golden eggs to be found! My cute little nephew found one of them! You can tell he was so excited! I also had to put a couple pictures up of another nephew even though he wasn't old enough to look for eggs! He is so cute! He does not help the baby hunger factor! I always look forward to playing with him at family events!

Ukranian Eggs

For Easter this year, we were fortunate enough to be able to make it to both family partys! At my parents, we used my Mom's Pysanky dying kit, or they are also known as Ukranian Eggs as well. It was a lot of fun, Landon and I both really enjoyed dying them! They are fun, because you can really take your time, and do fun designs! The other great thing, is usually you blow the egg, so it is empty, so we will be able to use the eggs for decoration next year, and years to come! Here are some pictures!

8 dozen cookies anyone?

So the other night, my sister had said she made apple sauce cookies. When I was growing up, I always loved when my dad would make these cookies! They were such a GREAT treat! I also know that all of my family thought they were yummy too, because they would be gone so fast! Well I decided I just had to make them, it was my date night with my husband, and I made him stop at the store to get ingredients on the way home from dinner so I could make them! Well I started making them at 10 pm. Landon thought I was crazy for starting them so late! Well I thought that when my dad would make them, he would double the recipe, and even with it doubled, they were always gone so fast! So I decided that I had better double the recipe so I wouldn't regret not making enough. Well apparently I was wrong, and it was never doubled, because I had around 8 dozen cookies, pretty big too! Needless to say, the pigs at our house were able to enjoy some as well since they didn't all get eaten in time! I also took some pictures, I actually remembered to put on my apron so I didn't ruin yet another shirt!

I'm Back!

Well after a long break from blogging, not intentionally I am back, and I will hopefully be able to get caught up! My laptop was having issues with the charging cable, and my husband finally fixed it, so I just uploaded all my photos, and am starting to post again!

I did it!

So I have an issue with cooking, well sort of. I can follow a recipe, but I am not good at improvising, and don't absolutely love to cook! My husband does most of the cooking, and I don't mind, he does a great job! Well I bought a pot roast a couple weeks back, thanks to my sister, and keeping me updated on deals! :D Well Tuesday I had off from work, and decided it was finally time for me to try to cook! Well I went to the store, because I wanted to do the roast in coke, and came back and got it started in the crock pot. Well time went on, and we came home and were getting everything ready to make burritos, like at Cafe Rio or Costa Vita. I of course being the smart one that I am, was wearing a white shirt. Well the apron that was shown in a previous post, never made it on my body! :( I was going to have it as my picture up here, to show that I do LOVE it, and use it! Well anyway, I didn't think things through very well I guess because I tried to pick up half of the roast with just one fork. I was letting all the juices drip off of it first before I moved it to the plate and dripped everywhere, when OF COURSE, it dropped back in the crockpot which was full of Coke, a little bit of fat, and brown sugar. My shirt has now been through the washer 2 with stain remover in hopes that it disappears! But I haven't checked it yet. Welcome to my life!

When it rains it pours!!

So I drive a Ford Taurus. Since I have gotten married, I have not had the best of luck with my car. The plates expired end of November, and I only had to get emissions done this year. Well it took me clear until end of December first part of January to get my car registered. I had to replace the EGR valve. My dear husband tried to replace it, but was not successful, and not a happy camper after trying. So we got the part replaced, and took it in to get it tested, thinking it would pass, boy were we wrong. The guys at Jiffy Lube told us the only way to reset the computers for it to pass would be to drive up Parleys Canyon, going 55-65 mph and driving 50-60 miles before stopping, and turning around. Needless to say that is what had to be done, and we finally got it registered. Well a couple nights ago, my service engine soon light came on again. Once again it has to do with the EGR valve. When it came on again Landon told me he hated my car.

Well now that you have a little backround, I bought a radio and adapter kit at Circut City since they are going out of business. Well about 2 weeks ago, Landon started switching out my radio for me. I was so shocked at how soon he started doing it. Well he only switched the face plates out, and never connected any wires except the heater. Well today he thought he would finish up the project that he started, and ran wires that he needed to for my radio. ( I wish I would have taken a picture, but I didn't think I would have anything to blog about with the picture) So he finished wiring everything, and I had a working radio again! :D YAY! He put a cd in, and it worked! Well his parents had invited us over to dinner, and so I told him I wanted to take my car since I now had a radio. Well not to far from home, we were turning onto Redwood Road, and it felt like we hit a bump... and I probably don't have to go on, but I will. As soon as we hit it, the radio stopped, and I looked at him like what did you do. Well than I realized, not only did the radio turn off, but the brights in my car got turned on, and the airbag light was flashing at me. Yeah go big or go home I guess. Anyways, I'm tryin to be nice and not laugh too hard and just make it to his parents house. Well we get to his parents, and I turn the car off, and take the key out, and turn off the lights, only to realize the brights light is still on on my dash. So we decide to just leave it and go inside, well than we realize that the key fob is not working either, so I went to the door to push the lock button, oh and of course, that is not working either. So on the drive home, Landon decides to test a couple of other things, the windows, the interior light, the rear defrost, the windshield wipers and fluid, ( I think that was all) were not working at all either. Welcome to my life! So Landon did however just come in, and found out it was a fuse that everything was running off of. But still it made for a very interesting night!

The Chef of the house!

So my husband does most of the cooking in our house! He does a very good job at it, and I think he does enjoy it. The apron that he is sporting is one that I got at one of my bridal showers. I was told I would get a picture of him in it, and blog it, and she told me, no, I got it so you would start learning to cook, so you could use it! However I think he looks better in it! But Nicole if you are reading this, I am trying to learn some simple recipes thanks to my sister, so I will be using the apron too.
