Home sweet Home!

So here are some photos of our house, and just a few of the animals that Wayne my brother-in-law has! ( The picture with the cows laying down is for Afton and Mike, with all the rain it explains why they have been laying down so much! :D) The past two years, I have been able to go on a cattle drive with my friend Afton. It is so pretty in Pendleton Oregon! I realized on Monday, that it was just preparing me for what was to come that day! Monday I had off with Landon, and we had planned on going shopping for a new toilet, and sink, because we are finally putting in a bathroom downstairs. Well as I was going upstairs to get ready, I just happened to glance out the window. (The horses in the picture are not actually ours, they are our neighbors. Our neighbor is a retired horse jockey, and so that is all the animals he owns.) Well I happened to see a cow in front of his horse trailor, and I think to myself that is odd that he tied the cow up to the trailor, and that he even got a cow! I looked a little closer and it looked like Waynes cow. Well I went running downstairs as fast as I could, and told Landon and we went outside to get him back into the pasture. As I was opening the gate, and making sure the other cow didn't get out as well, I turned to see Landon running with a long 2 by 4 chasing Blackie. I jumped behind the fence, since it looked like he was going to charge me, and instead of running into the pasture he came back by me behind the fence. I went running the other direction a little nervous. ( I know Afton what a true cowgirl am I! :D Later when I talked to Wayne, I found out he has started charging.) So we were back to square one with the cow. Another minute goes by, and the cow came running my way again, but this time I was brave and stepped out just enough, and we finally got him back in. It was a very interesting day! The perks of living on a farm!

They grow so fast!

So a couple nights ago, one of my brother-in-laws rabbits had babies. This was kind of unexpected. He was however trying to breed her, but had no reason to believe she was pregnant, until one day saw the signs that she would have babies soon. He put the box in, and checked, and these little guys were not even a full day old. I came home from work, and ended up trying to help warm these little guys up. They were cold to the touch because the mom had not pulled enough fur, and they were squeaking lots, which Wayne informed me was not a good sign. He told me rabbits don't make noise unless there is something wrong. Well after we had a couple things to try and get them warm, Wayne realized the incubator was still set up from when he had done the chicks. We put them in there, and later that night put them back outside in hopes the mom would still nurse them! It has been about a week, and their eyes should open on Sunday, and all of them have survived! What fighters they are!

This little brown bunny in the above pictures is my bunny Annabelle. She has grown so fast! It has been fun though because she knows me. She is a really docile rabbit. I finally decided I wanted a bunny since the dog thing wasn't working out so well.

Happy Late Birthday!

So May 27th was Landon's birthday! We were able to have his birthday off together, and enjoy it! I took him to Outback for his dinner, one of his favorite places! We celebrated it with his family that following Sunday, and had pizza, and cheese cake! I am such a lucky girl! I have a great husband who really does love me! He spoils me. The more I get to know him, the more I love him! I know cheesy, but I really do feel that way! It was fun on his birthday to watch him arm wrestle one of his brothers. Boys will be Boys! ( the above pictures)

I love this picture! My cute nephew Chris and Uncle Bubba!

Finally!

So a couple months into dating my husband, I found out that he was going shooting and muddin. Well I told him I wanted to go! Just after 6 months of being married, he FINALLY took me! It was a lot of fun. I honestly didn't know what to expect, and sadly was really nervous when it was my turn to shoot the gun! I was going to give Landon's buddy Rich a hard time when he covered his ears, and than he fired the gun. I regretted not taking the ear plugs from him, I couldn't hear for a couple days after. All in all it was a lot of fun! However, I would shoot once or twice, and need a break. I did not expect how hard it would kick back. I have a loving husband though who wanted to make sure I hit a target before we were done, and he decided I needed to shoot until I hit one. Little did he know, by that time, I wasn't focusing on the target, I was focusing on how bad it would hurt when the gun kicked back when it was fired. I started bruising by the time we got home, and the next day, if you would have seen it, you would have thought my husband beats me! (I would never have to worry about that!) Needless to say he believed that I needed a break after shooting a couple times!
